One of the GOATs imo. Athlete/celebrity deaths usually don’t touch me very much but this is a rough one. Saddens me to think it won’t resonate much outside the nascar/motorsport world, Kyle is a legend.
Yeah this one is getting to me. Kyle was such an incredible talent. I am absolutely heartbroken and so sad he never got that Daytona 500.
Last lap of the Indy 500 was crazy. Last second pass at the line. .0233 seconds between first and 2nd. Closest margin of victory in the history of the Indy 500 last lap video https://x.com/IndyCarOnFOX/status/2058643153901568467/video/1?s=46
Great LeMans race as well. First win by Toyota since 2022. BMW finished 2nd by only 10 seconds; haven’t won since 1999. Corvette simply too quick and win GT3 over Lexus and Aston Martin.
Awesome stuff at Pikes Peak this weekend. Quite a few records were broken. It's still on my bucket list to convert my DSR and make a run up the mountain. One of these years..
Robin Schute said the car suffered from TC issues, the engine was almost shot, with high temps, slowing the car on the upper sections, and it still did 8:29. If he can fix the electronics and maybe get some anti-lag setup, he can set the overall record next year
Why can't they just fix the situation with the lapped cars on a SC restart? Why are we still playing this idiotic game of trying to unlap them? Just run them through the pits to get them out of the order and leave them lapped. Why is it so imperative that cars which have shown themselves irrelevant in a given race need to be back on the lead lap?
