Being able to change tyres under red flag is such bullshit. Gasly and Stroll in the prime positions now.

 

This race just got so interesting. I’m here for it

 

Just saw Renault changing to Alpine for nexy year and going with a blue, white, red livery. Sad that the yellow will be gone.

 

Yeah I’m really bummed they’re switching from yellow. Gonna be weird next year

who would have though Williams would have been fighting Ferrari during qualifying and fighting Red Bull over halfway through the race.

that move by Sainz on Raikkonen was great.

 

This has turned into a great race. Sainz and Stroll with some great moves.

 

Gasly is going to take a big ol' shit on Horner's desk.

 

Delighted for Gasly. But gutted for Sainz and McLaren.

Can we just get rid of Mercedes now?

 

I'm a bit gutted for McLaren, but a happy Gasly is a thing to behold.

 

So if you’re Gasly, and RB come knocking again, do you take the seat?

 

I think I'd be worried if I was Ocon. Is someone already lined up to replace Ricciardo?

So happy for Gasly. Gutted for Sainz, but as a McLaren fan I think second and fourth is a great result.

What a nice podium too. Three good young drivers who all looked happy to be there and had no ill feeling towards each other. Them chatting while Pierre took a moment was amazing.

 

Albon's race was totally fucked by that turn 1 clash, his car was totally ruined.

At this point, I think next season RB have only one option. Swap Gasly to RB and Albon to AT, and drop Kvyat for Tsunoda. Gasly is a race winner now and he deserves another shot.

 

I swear the second RB seat is cursed.
I’m so happy for Gasly. He’s had a fire under him since his demotion.

Given how Max couldn't move forward, I wouldn't have expected Albon to do much either. I guess he might have got lucky in amongst the safety car and red flag mess, but the Red Bulls looked well off it this weekend.

Kvyat is a bit of a waste of a seat now. I'm unsure if Tsunoda is ready for the step up yet though. First year in GP2 and his results are all over the shop. If he keeps his recent form up, maybe that's a good shout.

I watched the GP2 feature race this weekend. Looks like the Ferrari driver program has got a decent amount of talent in it right now. Shame the F1 cars are hopeless...

 

Perez confirms Racing Point departure

Perez announced that he's leaving Racing Point, Vettel supposed to be taking his seat next season.

I still have hopes for a surprise Hulk takeover.

 

Just call me Helmut Marko but this is my two point plan to saving their season.

Kvyat to be dropped, Albon to be given his seat at AT alongside Gasly, and Hulk to the take the second RB seat.

Kvyat is never gonna make an impact and he’s having a bad season, whilst Albon needs a confidence boost in a more stable, less high pressure environment. RB need a stable second driver who can compete with the cars around him and aid Max.
