New song is p good. Was almost expecting a heavier song, but it's very much in line with what they've been doing.
Going to keep this conversation going by myself, but I'm really enjoying this record. I feel like they've been really perfecting their sound and I'm here for it.
Enjoying this a ton as well, was never really a fan of their previous work (minus a song or two) but this has been really solid. A couple weak songs on this, like Werewolf and Porcelain, but other than that, this a really fun, high energy album. Will def be a go to album at the gym for me.
Solid album. Favorites are Cause of Death, Slaughterhouse, Meltdown, BABE2 and BFBTG:Corpse Nation. Really disappointed in the song with Caleb Shomo. That song and We Become The Night were my two least favorite songs. Werewolf is definitely a nod to 80s goth club music and if it wasn’t for the heavier songs I would rank it higher on my personal list. I referred to werewolf as “LostBoysCore” lol. I like this album light years better than I did disguise, and it felt like a heavier graveyard shift, and with less buttrock/octane radio accessible hits. 7.5/10
I've actually been listening to it for a little while since it leaked early. I really like all of their albums but yea the last two had some big radio rock throwaways on them that they basically avoided this time which is nice. I'll echo that Red White and Boom is probably the most disappointing song on the album, and We Become the Night is probably the next for lowest. Meanwhile Slaughterhouse is one of their overall best songs they've put out I think, and Bryan kills his feature. Caleb should have taken some notes from him! Werewolf I actually really really like, the Somebody's Watching Me reference is super fun and the vibe is just nice in general. Kind of the Wasp of the record of going for a different vibe, and Wasp is one of their best songs.
I'll also echo my dislike of Red, White & Boom but I feel like the rest of the record is really strong overall. I'm also glad Chris doesn't do as much of the whisper/talk singing anymore and actually lets his voice shine. Dude's got a great voice.
I somewhat agree with that list, because I definitely agree they've fully leveled up their sound with STEOTW, but Graveyard Shift last?!
my local record store was having customer appreciation day offering 10% off everything in the store so i went by after work to see what they had and found these! had to support and pick up a hard copy because this album is awesome \m/
