Really upset because before they broke up I had tickets to a show to see them for the first time and got sick and missed it. When they announced their comeback I bought tickets ASAP. The show was Monday and on que I got wicked sick again and ended up missing the show.
That is horrendous luck. I always thought these guys were one of the few bands from the pop-punk scene that actually sounded just as good live as on record.
Forgot a fun detail - at the Cleveland show, one of the openers announced that it was Justin’s 10-year sobriety date. Justin definitely sang “Even if it Kills Me” with more conviction than any of the other songs they played.
that's awesome! oh man, does anyone know if that's been a staple in the set? I would go nuts if I got to hear that. one of my favorite songs to blast in the car and belt out
“Even if it Kills Me” should be played at every MCS. Their best song and one of the best ever written honestly.
The Weakends is my top under appreciated MCS song. The 1-2 ending of Skin and Bones into that is unbelievably good.
youtube "motion city soundtrack reunion" if i'm not mistaken it's the audio they used for that 0:57 clip but i could be wrong. they apparently recorded an alternate version of the whole album
I really wish I had thought to record some of it just during the breaks, although I’m sure the audio would have been terrible. The versions were so good.
There were re-imagined versions of I Am The Movie songs they did years ago. They played a handful of songs over the PA during the set changes/post-show music on the Commit This To Memory tour, but the songs have not been released.
Have fun! Mine is Wednesday and I’m just constantly going through their discography and watching all the stuff the band keeps posting to Instagram.
