Doesn't look like Tony Thaxton is back on the kit for them. Hard to be absolutely sure from that photo though.
On panic station: some of their all time best songs in I can feel you and Days Will Run Away On tour: if someone figures out the presale situation please let us know
The band didn't feel like MCS without Tony so they want to make sure everyone is on the same page. Also, I just posted the pre-sale stuff.
At his solo show I went to last year he talked about how the whole band was ok with him playing MCS songs, but Justin himself felt weird doing so without them. He said he made a rule for himself that he would only play songs that he primarily wrote and then would change them up enough to make them feel different.
Yea but they did move on without Tony (with his blessing but still) so I’m saying I don’t think they’d ever like reunite without everyone again is what I’m saying
the few people mad about their last tour not being their LAST LAST is a treat. Imagine dying on that hill.
Also I know First Ave is a popular choice for Minnesota but I'm hoping maybe The Armory? I want a bigger venue. Or just do Target Center! Do a full on U2 type show
I did go to their last tour like 4 times including flying to chicago for the last show. I feel like,,,,,,,,,if a band breaks up but theres no real obvious signs that they hate each other, reunion is almost guaranteed at this point in time. it makes total sense financially, bands on reunion tours typically make so much more money and get better guarantees than a band thats been on tour nonstop for like 15 years or however much they were. This way, they did a huge farewell tour that probably sold great, and now get to do a reunion tour that will also probably sell great (due in part to them announcing it 7 gd months in advance, christ) In reality they only really took a three year break.
I get that maybe they paid more or something to get tickets to the then final show, but I’d still say this is good news that MCS is touring. I say Face to Face play on “The Only Goodbye Tour”, only to have come back to do 3 more albums and acoustic album plus tours. People were confused by Thrice hiatus Goobye Tour. Dustin jokingly said after people were confused by the marketing, and maybe it needed to be like a See You Later Tour...but not Sure When.
Their last show was awesome. I love when the videos pop up on my Facebook memories. And now I’ll have more!
I think at the end of the day, if its a band you like, you should be happy that they are making music and playing shows together. You don't have to go.
