I don’t think anything on Panic Stations is bad but for me it suffers significantly for its lack of Tony’s drumming.
It's not even a debate. Panic Stations just lacks a bunch of the charm and originality that MCS brought with their other material. It's got the sloppiest lyrics, at least four of the songs just blend together and as someone else said, the lack of Tony is incredibly noticable. They managed to put together like 3-4 good songs on tbat album, but the rest was like a band trying to imitate MCS.
I wasn't even trying to debate, just my opinion. Neither album does it for me. My list: CTTM > IATM > TDL > EIIKM > PS > Go
PS has some good songs but it doesn't hold up when compared to any of their other albums. It's grown on me but it's still easily their weakest imo. That being said Days Will Run Away is, again, one of their best songs.
Has anyone listened to the sped up version of TKO? Someone in the YouTube comments was like "speed the song up to 1.5x to hear how it's supposed to sound" or something like that. Now when I listen to the album version it almost seems deliberately slowed down haha.
This actually makes that song sound significantly better, lol. Tried it on "Lose Control" as well and it made me dislike the song slightly less.
Oh, yeah. It was one of the two haha I can't remember, I don't like the song so I don't listen to it haha
.......I expected acoustic. I'm glad that wasn't acoustic. I'm glad this exists and excited for more. I mean, it's fairly similar to MCS.
