I am a teeny bit gutted The Worst Part isn't on this vinyl but I guess I'll have to track down a copy of those green vinyls some lucky guy beat me to on ebay the other day.
I was always more positive on it than others were, but I really think that 'Panic Stations' is their third best album, behind 'Commit This To Memory' and 'Even If It Kills Me'. I miss this band a lot.
I was more positive than others too but I'd still say it's around my least favorite depending on the day. Got some instant classics and it's all fun. A little more shallow than their other stuff so it's best just for blasting and jamming out to.
I got some visa gift cards from our rewards program at work, so I decided it was time to splurge and grab the My Dinosaur Life LP from Discogs. It was a pretty penny, but I finally have it now and it's so beautiful. Worth every penny. I still hope one day I can hunt down the collector's edition with all the picture discs. In other words, you can all expect them to announce a repress any day now, such is my luck.
*sobs quietly* The picture book is part of the whole deluxe box set right? I would of used the gift cards on that, but there aren't even any up on discogs.
I will just pray lol I've seen it pop up on discogs before. I need to just set aside a savings account for it or something lol just put some money aside so i'm ready when it pops up and inevitably costs like $300 or something.
Yeah I’m a huge Joe Ledbetter collector anyway, so I bought that probably 5 minutes after it was announced. Perfect meeting of worlds.
About two and a half years since Panic Stations was released Ready for some new material from Justin.
Floating Down the River came on my Daily Mix and listening to it and checking Justin's twitter feed made me realised how much I miss this band, and yet am so happy for him. He's happy now, and clearly loving family life. I miss the band but I wouldn't trade his happiness for more MCS music. Also that song is dope and easily my favourite from Go.
Hmm I think I'll make Panic Stations my afternoon walk album today. Always thought it was underrated.
it's cool that we got it because you can kinda tell they were ready to be hang it up. There's around 4 classic songs on that record and the rest is pretty solid
I still maintain that Panic Stations was a solid farewell album. They ended on a high note. It's not their best, obviously, but it's still very good and has a couple of instant classics on it. I don't know how much of the negativity around it was due to people just being bummed they were calling quits.
I think it's easily their worst album and it's sad they ended on such a low note. At least the final song was a fitting last song.
Panic Stations was fine. It was a better album to end on than Go, I still can’t stand that one besides like 2/3 songs
