Well that's probably sufficient for this round. You all made the absolutely correct choice to pick a top 3 Motion City Soundtrack song "I Can Feel You" as the winner of the Panic Stations bracket. Stay tuned for the final round of odds and ends. I think I'm going to switch things up this round.
So for the final round of odds and ends, I thought it would be fun to switch up the way we do things (and shorten the round a little so we can get to the finals bracket). So we have 10 songs we will be voting on: Wait So Long Always Running Out Of Time Severance Pictures of Success Major League 1,000 Paper Cranes Sunday Warning Throw Down Back To the Beat Inside Out Instead of actually bracketing these, everyone pick your top 3 of these songs. I'll count it all up and then whatever 3 have the most votes will enter the final round. From that everyone will pick their favorite and whichever gets the most votes will win the round. Is this a good idea? I can just do the normal bracket too, it just feels kind of weird to directly compare all these songs since they span all different places in the bands career. Feel free to pick any other song not on this list THAT WE HAVE NOT ALREADY VOTED ON. Other songs from the first two EPs for example.
I'm fine with this idea. I'll just need a little bit of time to check all of these songs out! I'm only really familiar with a couple of them.
Yea that's another reason I thought it might work out this way because I feel like not everyone will know all of them so hopefully people check them all out, but also this may keep people more invested in this round instead of voting between two songs they just heard.
If anyone needs them, I threw together a playlist of these songs on YouTube I included 2 versions of Sunday Warning and 2 versions of "Throw Down":
Wait so long is my favourite MCS song (even though it’s not really theirs), so that will get my vote. I’ll need to re-listen/listen to the rest.
Wait So Long Severance Throw Down Back To The Beat and Always Running Out Of TIme are on par with all those songs, in my opinion, but those three get my vote
Also I'm voting this round, just try and stop me I don't care run your own bracket next time: Always Running Out of Time Back To the Beat (this song playing at the end of their final show pretty much cements it as an all-timer for me) Severance (I love this one because it tries something really different for the band) Inside Out is one of my least favorite MCS songs ever (actually might be THE least favorite).
