Mary Without Sound is such a killer song and works even better within this album context. Definitely adding this to my vinyl want list.

  5. The Company We Keep had so much promise with their original singer, it really felt like a blend of The Receiving End Of Sirens (due to Brian Southall's presence) and PVRIS and I've never heard anything like it since. The album with the final singer, while good, just didn't feel the same

They also did a cover of At The Drive-In's Pattern Against User that's like one of my favorite covers ever, just... such an inventive spin on a classic. Wish I had their earlier stuff in decent quality as that's lost media now.

  9. Not the person who asked, but do you have the other The Company We Keep songs by any chance? Their folder (Making Moves EP) only has one out of 3

I think they had half a new album recorded a while back. Hopefully those come out someday

Never say never, but I do remember this Twitch stream and I think it is most likely not going to happen.

"In a Twitch stream with Joshua Cain, Justin talked about the importance of producer Ed Ackerson, saying he was "kind of like our sixth member." After Ackerson's death in 2019, Justin felt that the group was finished, saying "I feel like I would totally do other music, but I think that band is done." Though he did express interest in releasing unfinished material recorded with Joshua Cain."

I thought I had heard every b-side, cover, etc from this band and then yesterday discovered this cover of Here Comes The Sun on spotify. It's pretty bizarre in my opinion, almost an entirely faithful version with very little MCS additions aside from some moog toward the end, Justin even sounds unlike himself at parts, it's weird, I don't really like it, but maybe some of you have never heard this as well

Been on a huge MCS kick lately ever since diving into IATM and EIIKM. I've said this before, but these guys are the absolute kings of writing a bridge. I don't think any other band could come close. There are some bands where I get tired of repeating lyrics and lines, but MCS just does it so tastefully. I still remember the first time I heard the bridge of True Romance and it legit gave me goosebumps. They just seem to do everything right.

I need them to come out with a new album ASAP. Warped Tour is going to be so fun seeing them again!

You’re right - I would say Yellowcard and early The Dangerous Summer (first three albums) are also examples of bands with excellent bridges.

Folks can say what they will about Panic Stations but "I Can Feel You" has an incredible bridge

I revisited Go and Panic Stations again recently and made a combined single-disc of my favorite tracks, it's:

True Romance, Timelines, The Coma Kid, Floating Down the River
Anything At All, Lose Control, It's A Pleasure To Meet You, Broken Arrow, Days Will Run Away

Okay, let’s not get crazy now. Haha it’s probably 4 or 5 for me. The only album I’m not big on is Panic Stations.

Lose Control is one of the worst songs they've ever written
