I wonder what their general consensus on the state of the band is at the moment. When they did their "comeback shows", I figured they'd be the type of band that tours a little bit every 5 years or so. Then JP's sickness messages made me think we'd for sure only get them in a limited capacity. Now the new album has been confirmed by them and I'll just take all I can get of MCS without ever knowing what the future holds!
I've always felt that I was at peace with where things ended in 2016, mostly because I was able to be at that final Metro show, so everything post-reunion is just like a really incredible bonus. But they don't really seem to be slowing down touring wise, and now there's new music on the way so maybe it's time to start reframing that.
They're all pretty excited from what I've seen/heard, but they just know now that they all have very well established family lives and other jobs. So it won't be like the old days, but something just as special in a different way.
I'm completely okay with them putting out new music when they feel like it and touring whenever they can make it work. Excited for the new album!
Bummer that Josh busted himself up, hopefully he can make a good and swift recovery. He's still gonna record the record. Bringing flashbacks to when Tony got hurt recording right before an album if I remember correctly.
All the clips on Instagram and stuff make the drums sound so good. It sounds WAY more energetic than last time with Tony on Go. Slapping those drums around like crazy.
