Also not even going to entertain thoughts of My Dinosaur Life being anything less than a perfect album.
Yes all great! Broken Arrow is a great one too, and Days Will Run Away is a beautiful close to their career.
Panic Stations has some really great songs, but it also has some of MCS' best songs, I Can Feel You is certainly one of them. Go is one that honestly didn't click with me at first, but this year when waiting for Panic Stations I rediscovered it during a discography listen and now I adore the album. I need to get that one on vinyl, and I really need them to reprint My Dinosaur Life on vinyl because it's only super expensive on ebay now and once I get Go it'll be the only one missing from my collection.
I eat at this pizza place in Salt Lake City every day on my lunch break called The Pie Hole. Yesterday, they were blasting I Am The Movie in there. I was happy. And they were happy seeing a customer singing along. That is my story. The end.
MDL is better than I remembered, especially the back half A few songs into Go, it's pretty good so far
If I didnt have such a huge and well documented personal attachment to CTTM I'd be willing to make an argument in regards to Go being their best record. MDL is my least favorite of the 6 but I still very much enjoy it
I'm listening to Justin's interview on Lead Singer Syndrome and it's pretty interesting. He speaks sort of erratically and I have the speed turned up so that makes it sound funny. Anyway I don't know any of the bands he mentions as influences, I guess that's no surprise
Coma Kid and Son of A Gun are the most boring to me. I'm not a huge True Romance fan either (I don't really dislike the song, I just wish it wasn't the only one they ended up playing live from that album ever - until the last show where they at least threw Timelines back in).
listening to Go for the first time in a while; i've always loved this record, it still holds up for me, though i think the back half isn't quite as strong as the first. My Dinosaur Life still is my favorite MCS record though.
I think the back half of Go is where it gets really good. EIIKM still easily their best not even gonna joke about it. CTTM I love you but sorry.
Son of a Gun and Boxelder are the weaker tracks, but even those fit nicely within the flow of the album.
At this point, I think I consider EIIKM and MDL even at second. MDL is more consistent, but EIIKM has better highlights.
i actually love those two tracks. i love the lyrics on Son of a Gun and the bassline on Boxelder is so so good. i can cosign this
Boxelder is a favorite of mine from Go. I love how Justin's voice is controlled the whole song and then he kind of just let's go at the end.
On first listen, my favorites are True Romance and The Worst Is Yet To Come. Weakest are Coma Kid and Boxelder. EIIKM is way more consistent than MDL
