If the world never knows, doesn't that just mean that they won't? It'd be sad if they did and the world still didn't know. That'd mean either they didn't promote it properly or no one cared, which would be terrible.
Did anyone ever confirm what album it was that was re-imagined? I thought it was just hinted at but my understanding was that it was IATM. Weren’t a couple of re-imagined songs from that album actually released somewhere? There’s also the single they recorded that was supposed to be part of a VIP tour package that was never released. Wonder why they’re just sitting on all of that.
Honestly I guess I don’t remember. I thoooought it was CTTM. I could have sworn there was a clip of a CTTM song when they announced one of the anniversary tours. But maybe it was IATM? As far as I know, they never released any full reimagined songs. But if they did, I’d love for someone to post them in here.
Oh cool I didn’t know this existed! But listening to these, I am remembering there was deffffinitely a slow (maybe orchestral ish) version of a CTTM song on a tour announcement video awhile ago. EDIT: I found itttt
I don’t even know if they know. They live across 3 or 4 different states, I believe. And have families. And it probably wouldn’t sell well. I would love them to but they may be more like TSL or Thursday, maintaining a legacy and playing a few shows and short tours here and there. I’d love a 5 song EP or something though!
I’m honestly surprised they haven’t released something. It’s been quite a while since they resurfaced and Justin has pretty consistently released solo stuff.
So from what I've been told, they have been working on stuff for a while. There's a lot going on behind the scenes. They've always sent each other stuff online like little ideas and parts for years and years and they're all still pretty close even if not physically, but that being said, there's no guarantee of an album. We will be getting new music, that's assured, but it might just be a few songs, who knows. Justin has released a lot of solo stuff, but some of it was pre-injury and some is presumably just easier to produce/make without being states apart and scheduling etc. Josh is always working on stuff and he streams games and goes through MCS stuff on his twitch "itschewdy", Matt's in a "new" band called TENTS, Tony is constantly playing shows with other bands like Don't Stop Or We'll Die and he does his own podcast "Bizarre Albums", Jesse has gotten very into wristwatches and still jams out. That being said Justin's injury and mental health has thrown a lot of wrenches in plans. The fact that he's even touring is awesome considering all that he's unfairly had to go through. MCS is one of the only bands I genuinely love and love as a whole, they all feel like such good friends/family. Just a bunch of music nerds who love to jam together and be silly and deep. The band just isn't MCS when one of them is missing and it was very apparent on PS, so I'm super glad they're all playing together again. I am optimistic for the future, whatever we see.
Could not love this answer more. Going to see them in Minneapolis later today for the 25th time. This band means more to me than any one band in this scene.
Panic Stations is better than I remember. Still some clunkers, but far from a bad record. Still like a 7/10
setlist yesterday was solid, missed the first two songs because the line to get into the taste of Minnesota was HELLA long but it was a good mixture of the older records and more recent ones.
