Go is so much better. It's a more relaxed/less rock album for sure and the production definitely feels different than all their other albums, but as a whole it's more cohesive and consistent.
Go is much better than Panic Stations. Panic Stations is the only album they made that I don't love. Still has some great songs though.
Agreed. If anyone asked me how many albums they had I would just say 5. Panic Stations just feels like burnout.
I dunno at least half the songs on Panic Stations are bangers. TKO is up there with their best power pop songs. It’s A Pleasure To Meet You and Broken Arrow are great. I Can Feel You is a classic and so is Days Will Run Away imo. Song gives me chills and if that was what they went out on I could have lived with it.
The best thing I ever saw was a comment saying to change the speed on the music video of TKO to 1.25 because I don't really care for the song otherwise haha.
i think commit this to memory is the best album ever written, especially regarding the circumstances justin went through to make that record happen. you're all discussing go and panic stations but even if it kills me is .. great.
It's Go by a wide margin. Panic Stations is fine though. Just not up to their usual caliber. IATM CTTM GO MDL EIITKM PS
Even If It Kills Me Commit This to Memory I Am the Movie Go My Dinosaur Life Panic Stations The top two are all timers for me.
Funny how opinions can change over time: they wrote PS as a response to fans being let down by Go. They knew that songs from Go didn’t translate well live so they intentionally went back to writing bangers.
It’s odd. I enjoyed Inside Out, but then it didn’t make the album and the album just didn’t do anything for me at the time of release. I like it a little more these days, but only listen to it on full disco runs.
