I didn't mean it was a bad yikes, it's a great lyric. More of like a "I love it" yikes, but then again I mean it like a light "yikes". I love that song and that album especially! Perhaps "yikes" was not the right word lmao.
"Even If It Kills Me" was THE album that got me through a lot of mental health issues. Anxiety and depression have been a constant presence in my life and Justin's lyrics have resonated with me more than anyone else's.
I love exactly that kind of lines though! Not taking it too seriously, but then there will be another moment that hits you right in the guts, which thanks to that whole juxtaposition is even more surprising/thrilling
Damn man, all the best. I'd definitely hope he'd consider his health over touring and would completely understand if it just isn't meant to be at the moment.
My guess is that they booked the tour when he was expecting to be or was in better shape by summer. Sounds like that may have changed. Super bummer. They won’t be at my date, but I wish him all the good vibes and healing anyway. He has always seemed like a genuinely good dude. I respect his openness about it all.
All of favorite musicians take extremely wordy lines and make them super catchy. MCS is very good at that.
He has so many lines I love, but I especially like "Made one wish for a permanent kiss That would echo through these bones like arsenic"
Damn, sad to hear. Makes me wonder if he'll even be able to withstand the pain to get through the tour, especially with OKC being the last date of it which is the stop I'm planning on going to. Hope he gets better, that would be so disheartening to see him on stage in pain.
It just sucks that he's already gone through so much for his back problems and things just seem to be piling up. I hope the rest of the process goes well so he can get some lasting relief.
There's confirmation that Mike Kennerty from All American Rejects will be covering guitar duties for Justin on Motion City Soundtrack's set for Adjacent Fest next weekend. Justin's back/pain sounds like it can be really debilitating which blows. I'm just glad he feels that he's good enough to sing. I wouldn't want him to put himself out even more than he has to with all that's been going on. Don't know what this means for the rest of the shows this year, but we might see more stuff like this going forward. Hope he gets some relief.
Kind of? I mean, I know the lead singer has that other band, but maybe they're working on stuff or taking a break. I don't really follow them too much to be honest.
