I somehow have a 320kbps version of this. I have no idea if it originally started as 320kbps but here it is. 06 History Lesson (Mark Hoppus Mix)
that's the version I used to have but I lost it somewhere. still probably my least favourite on the record but much better than the other version.
Wait, from this thread I just found out that the guest vocals on that Chicago TTTYG song is Justin Pierre. I never knew that. Until today. My Apple Music playlist had that song on it and I thought it was Pete. I love that song. Have the album on vinyl. I never. Knew. Who am I. Is this real? What is life. Thank you!?
Limbeck has a new album coming this year btw, maybe early next. I should start a thread at some point...
Sure! ;d ;d I think it's there in the credits, even though Justin had a quite solid part, I was only informed by the liner notes that Jeff from Knockout sang on "Grenade Jumper", which was also a given seeing as Knockout had an album produced by Sean O'Keef back then as well (they had a member of Spitalfield and also featured plenty of vocal harmonies and some parts recorded by Patrick Stump). I need to revisit that soon. I didn't know anybody from Limbeck sang on CTTM! what part would that be?
Last couple lines: “hi everything’s great / hey everything’s fine” (which of course is pulled from their album)
O wow, that's nice! Thanks for the info, I would never recognize anybody there as somebody outside of MCS, but totally makes sense! Love Patrick's feature for sure, one of my favorites. Gonna go and listen to "Hi, Everything's Great" now, I think it's been years since I heard some tunes other than "Honk + Wave".
Limbeck is playing a show in Tucson, AZ on September 11. Literally tempted to make the 23 hour drive out there. Can't believe I missed them in Wisconsin earlier this year. I've only seen them live once, which was actually my introduction to them. They opened for the All American Rejects. May 27, 2003 at Jillian's in Louisville. A good time.
Also, I'm hoping they'll at least have a few dates next year for the 20th anniversary of Hi, Everything's Great.
I'm thankful I snagged a copy before it went OOP. A super minor quibble, but I really wish Don't Turn Around, She's Not Worth It was included as a bonus track. That's gotta be a top 5 favorite Limbeck for me.
