This thread motivating me to listen to MCS for the first time in a whiiiiiile

Never listened to Panic Stations, but liked all their albums to some degree or another

 

Panic Stations has some pretty good songs

 

i feel the way about Panic Stations that @irthesteve does about Go

 

I still like PS a little more than Go, which is just such a snooze. But neither have a lot of energy behind them.

On top of that they made the drums sound like absolute trash on that record.

Probably mine as well. Go and MDL are roughly tied for me.

 

Yeah those two are definitely the closest for me. The others are pretty set.

 

I think if I was listening to both for the first time today I'd like Go more than MDL, but MDL was just so special to me at the time

 

MDL was the album that got me into them so I'll always appreciate it for that haha.

 

Kind of shocked to see how many people enjoy Go. I like Circuits and Wires and True Romance but that’s it.

I do think the two b-sides Give Up/Give In and Alcohol Eyes are solid and should made the cut. Definitely would have made for a better album.

Really don't get how any fan of this band could not love Timelines. I also think The Worst Is Yet to Come, Floating Down a River, and Happy Anniversary are all pretty undeniable too

 

this is me too. IATM was just not an album that clicked for me. It started with CTTM and forward for me.

 

My ranking, too
