I love Boxelder lol The song I used to hate was Son of a Gun until one day I woke up with it in my head and decided I loved it. There are days I would take Go over even MDL. Overall I still like MDL more, but I think I really overplayed the shit out of it cus it's probably the one I reach for the least these days (except maybe Panic Stations, and that's not to say never). Panic Stations is their worst, but it's not bad at all and I will always say it suffered from releasing all the worst songs on the album ahead of time. Tko and Lose Control do nothing for me, I think Anything At All is overrated. But I Can Feel You is top 10 MCS for sure, and the last 4 songs are all pretty great. The rest are decent enough songs.
I might just be all in my head, but I've always thought a big part of the reason I could never really get into Panic Stations (outside of "I Can Feel You" which is amazing) is because Tony didn't drum on it. His style is such a part of what I love about the band's sound, and I can feel it's absence. Or at least I think I can.
Forgot to post about this after the tour ended because I didn't want to ruin any setlist spoilers for people: I had accidentally seen that they were only playing 2 MDL songs on the tour and immediately assumed it would be Life Less Ordinary and Her Words. Well, I freaked the eff out because I heard the opening chord to "Disappear" and absolutely lost my S. It's my favorite song by them and I was so happily surprised. Also, Go came out during a very important summer for me and was pretty much the soundtrack to my commutes to and from work. MDL Commit Go Panic Stations I've never given a listen to the other 2 as I found them after MDL came out. I know the singles though.
Commit Movie Go I haven't listened to others in a verrrry long time so I don't remember how I'd rank them
the worst is yet to come is one of my favorite mcs songs easily (circuits and wires and floating down the river are up there for me too). honestly i probably reach for Go the most often of all their albums (which is not to say that it’s better than CTTM but there you go) i don’t like panic stations much but there are three four great songs on there i remember
