I mean, in terms of how big those bands currently are I'd maybe swap TWY with TSSF but Neck Deep is depressingly the "biggest" band on that bill right now.
I'm not sure it is. Especially in the UK, Neck Deep is unquestionably the biggest. And when TWY and MCS did their co-headliner, TWY played last every night (maybe MCS closed in Minneapolis).
Yeah, even if MCS released a new album, I still think they'd be on the same level of billing they're at now.
I guess what I mean is that I'm sure it does make sense, but it's baffling to me. I don't understand when/how Neck Deep got that popular, nor TSSF. Both of those bands always just felt like a TWY ripoff anyway, but I digress
I mean Motion City hasn't released in album in 7 years and their last two weren't very popular so I don't think it's too surprising. Some people I met at emo night that are a few years younger than me are super into bands like neck deep and the story so far.
TSSF has been billed above TWY for a while. Like an early poster said during the TWY/MCS co-headline TWY always closed besides in MN. The only reason I could see MCS getting billed above TWY is from a reunion bump. That billing seems right to me.
City Mouth are super underrated and anyone that’s big on Motion City’s more pop side should give their last record a spin (hell even the Hollows EP as well)
Seeing them tonight for the first night of the (rescheduled) tour. Pretty stoked, happy 17 years of CTTM!
It was a great show tonight, set was a little longer than the Grand Rapids one in December which was nice to see, and they played Crooked Ways which I was really hoping for but didn’t really expect
Okay, somebody added the show and whole set this morning. I was holding off on buying a ticket until I saw the set. The second part is massively stacked with greatness. I think I’m gonna have to go now.
ha, whoops! Set does look good though. I’d just add Even If It Kills Me, but it’s not like I haven’t heard it before lol.
God damn. Still gutted these dropped off Slam Dunk, could be legit four years from announcement that I finally see them haha.
Can anyone let me know what time they went on? I’m trying to figure out if I can make their set in time if I go to the Angel City match the same night of their LA show.
It was around 8:20 give or take 5 minutes. The event listed 6:00 as the start time, All Get Out went on about 7:15. I thought there was a comedian listed too but he didn't perform - I assume he was going to on the first run of the tour but has dropped off, but idk for sure
