New song Said The Sky x Motion City Soundtrack. It's fine, but it's not what I really would call exciting from MCS. I just want new MCS with the original crew.
Ya this song is amazing. Love the lyrics, and it still gives me the Motion City feel. Plus now I can more easily get away with playing MCS when I have the aux Listened through that album this morning and it's one of the more successful EDM/pop-punk mash up attempts I've heard. Didn't hurt that the opening line of Gold hooked me in immediately, but I don't want to spoil it in case anyone listens
I jumped around a few of the tracks, Olivver the Kid tracks are nice, We the Kings is fine enough, couldn't get through the State Champs one.... any key standouts worth focusing on?
Tried checking out a few of the other songs but I don't think I like many of the other vocalists really.
I think we all want new MCS music, it's not like the existence of this song has any bearing on when we get new MCS music or not.
I think I like this song more than anything on Justin's EPs and it definitely sounds more like MCS melodically than those did which is probably why.
Get Out of The Woods is a fantastic song from Justin's solo stuff, same with Undone and In The Drink.
Undone is one of his I like more for sure but I was only referring to the EP's. There's some really good stuff on them but this is the first time in a while I've felt the same spark I used to get from MCS.
I’m not an EDM guy, but this is a fun little collaboration. Justin’s voice works well and you can hear the MCS sound blended in there. Thanks for sharing. EDM does always sound like remixes to me though. Blink, Donovan Woods, Ryan Key and now MCS have done an EDM songs or An EP in WRK’s case, that I kind out wanna hear a version of the song without the dance beats. It’s a still a nice surprise to have a new song.
I liked the EPs a lot, but i definitely agree this is the most MCS sounding song I’ve heard in a long while. Even more so than Crooked Ways I would say (which again, I like. It just felt different for them)
Me too actually. For some reason it just feels super well put together. A lot of his other work stumbles in some areas.
In the Drink (the album) feels very close to MCS in a lot of ways, right down to the reference to New Years Eve/Day, lol. I mean that as a compliment, of course.
