yea, really hoping east coast dates come later with a different line up. They did. But they also had a band support.
I’d go if I knew MCS was playing first and could leave before SA. Have zero desire to see them or support anything Max is doing.
Looks like the MCS/SA tour is co-headlining. In Utah, SA is headlining. So I could bounce early, which doesn’t sound too bad!
Good call. Looks like SA is headlining since they are listed first on the local admat. That makes this tempting. Could see MCS and be home by 10 lol
LOL, I think they already have a tour lined up with east coast dates. Regardless, I just don’t like Marty’s voice. I don’t have ethical reasons to not like them, like I do Bemis.
What if the recent divorce made max totally normal, not gross, mature, and healthy - sounding better than they ever have in 20 years?
This is how I found out that happened. I googled it and there was a Reddit post with their statement. The first comment underneath was incredibly great. “we’re about to witness them crowdfund a divorce.”
Echoing the sentiments that I'm glad they're not coming near here, as much as I'd love to hear the new MCS songs live. I'll wait til the next tour.
Like, I already have to see Say Anything at Four Chord. Really hope I can avoid supporting them on another show.
Also (don't judge me too harshly) but I went to the Is A Real Boy anniversary tour last year, and Max fucking sucked. After that, I gave up ANY hope that he'd redeem himself. Not that I had much hope for him. He doesn't give a shit. Fred Mascherino was carrying that weight since Max wasn't trying AT ALL.
I must have missed something cause I thought Max was weird, but not necessarily problematic (unless you count the cringe lyrics on the last album) Either way, interesting to pair one of the best live bands from that scene with one of the worst.
EXTREMELY problematic. Feel free to read through the Say Anything threads on this website if you want to learn
After seeing the video of their Warped set I was pretty determined to catch them on tour (haven't seen them since the "farewell" tour however long ago), but I'm a Say Anything hater from way back so my heart sunk when I saw the announcement, only to be buoyed by the fact they aren't coming anywhere near me, what a relief.
