BRUTAL CLASH WITH RATBOYS BUT I PICKED A GOOD TIME TO GET INTO THIS BAND

 

So disappointed no Scotland date. This album is still my most listened to since the start of 2025 and would love to support them live.

 

I did a few listens through Justin's solo material again recently and put together a bit of a "best of" if anyone is interested. Maybe a nice little diving in point if anyone hasn't listened to all his stuff

 

Undone is so good. Also, it completes Justin’s trilogy of songs that mention New Year’s Eve/Day.

 

Undone is my favorite Justin solo song. I'm not big on his solo stuff but that song is tremendous.

 

The songs from that album that I have on the playlist, I think stand up against MCS stuff, I'm A Liar is awesome and I really like I Don't Know Why She Ran Away

 

Yeah there's some really great songs on that album/EP's.

 

I need to revisit Justin’s solo stuff. I listened to In The Drink when it came out and enjoyed it but never really listened to it again after that

About as good as it can be.

 

Just found out their Dublin show next month is their first time here in uh... 19 years, so that's made my mind up.

Going to see MCS for the first time.

 

I've only listened to this album and I think I'll leave it like that. Impress me live with a bunch of songs I've never consciously heard before and I'll know they're a good band.

 

I like this album a lot but the good news is that almost all of their other albums are even better!

They simply have not been on my radar enough, I knew they went on hiatus there for a bit but aside from the name I'd never really checked them out til earlier this year off the back of the charity shirt they did. And TSOWWW is very me.

 

I think it’s really awesome that this album made a fan out of you (it’s good!) but you should definitely check out IATM, CTTM, EEIKM and MDL! If TSOWWW is very “you” then I suspect some or all of the others will blow you away.

 

I hate it when I get into a band late and everyone tells me I have to go backwards but I can’t help myself here, haha

 

I expected at least one person to have this reaction so I get it lmao

 

I'm honestly so excited for you to discover what came before!

 

If you liked this album, your mind will be blown when you listen to CTTM

 

God, what I would give to trade places with someone who is about to discover MCS for the first time.

(Presumably this person is living in 2002 and still has hope)

 

Listening to this album now for the first time in a couple months and damn Particle Physics should’ve been huge

 

Please keep us posted on your backwards journey through MCS @itsameetch I can't wait for you to hear some of their older jams live

MCS has been my favorite band since I was like 16 and they just mean so much to me
