I def hear the Better Open the Door vibes. Not really on Perfect Teeth.

I like this more with every listen. No idea where it stacks up, it’s way too early for that, but it’s an album that stands up on it’s own merit as a good album and not just a comeback record from a great band.

I personally don’t really care for Mi Corazon, but it’s cool to see them taking some swings alongside songs that totally nail their classic sound like Particle Physics, YKWTFWA, and Things Like This.

Justin sounds brilliant, the guests are used sparingly but really well, and I’m happy to have the moog back in prominence. My only slight gripe is that the drums don’t feel massively like Tony on parts of this, and he’s generally a very distinctive player.

Just came in here to say i love this album and i'm enjoying it more and more with each listen. Not going to attempt to rank it or anything, but this is definitely my favorite since EIIKM. It's everything i could've wanted in a new album from these guys and i couldn't be happier now that we've got it. This will be on repeat all Fall. I also think the opener and closer are placed in the correct place in the tracklist. I think the only other closer i would've picked is Your Days are Numbered.

I would honestly say She Is Afraid is my least favorite here. Maybe I just overplayed it but it definitely feels the least exciting to me (I also overplayed YKWTFWA and YDAN but don’t feel the same there).

As good as this record is, it’s definitely missing a “Time Turned Fragile”-level weird drum part that you hear and immediately think “oh fuck, this guy is GOOD.” Not that the drumming is bad at all! Just that I wish he had gotten a way to shine more the same way that the Moog once again has a prominent spot.

I really like how the album is structured. And Some Wear a Dark Heart puts me in such a good headspace from the start, even if it's a little low-key for a first track. I think I even enjoy the next few tracks (She is Afraid through YKWTFWA) more than I did as singles because of it.

Agree, I love Dark Heart as an opener. It feels like an awakening.

Did Patrick Stump get added to Particle Physics after release or was I just not paying attention

I figured as much. I guess the bridge on that song just kind of loses me

This album goes by so quickly. Honestly shocked it's 36 mins because it feels under 30. Not a bad thing at all as I'm eager to just hit replay.

It makes it easier to digest and take in too. I feel pretty acquaintanced with all the songs already

My only complaint is I wish Bloodlines was longer. Its so catchy. Still one of my favorite albums of the year

my only problem with this album is September releases are stacked and I'm having trouble finding the time to listen. vinyl coming in soon will change that!

feel like this is getting a little scattered towards the middle (not sure im big on bloodline or downer for instance) but id still say its easily more consistent than the two beforehand. having time to recharge definitely helped give them an abundance of new ideas

absolutely love mi corazon, one of their very best

My wife looked at tickets this morning and said they were quite expensive. We’re gonna skip since we just saw them, fortunately without say anything!
