Yea it could be an intentional decision on his part and/or the band. I personally look forward to some of his creative fills. An otherwise average MCS song can sound incredible when he shines imo.

 

I saw a guy at Riot Fest yesterday wearing a MCS shirt and I went up to him and said dude how great is the new album. And he responded “They have a new album?”
Fake fan.

I think my two faves are Particle Physics and Melancholia. But I also really love YKWTFWA

 

Things Like This is growing on me too. Really sounds like a CTTM track

 

Even though it’s more reserved, it’s great to have him back! He fits them so well

 

First listen went really well, keen to dive deeper in. Felt like the back half of the album was strong.

This is fantastic. I’ll need to listen more before having a fair assessment but one thing I know is that I hit repeat every time Your Days Are Numbered ends. Early favorite track for sure

Looks like they tracked quite a few of these songs back when Claudio was with them. I do wonder what completely new and fresh stuff we will be getting in the future.

 

is this off the official (physical) album credits? obviously Tidal could be wrong, but the credits list Tony as drummer and a composer on all tracks. Claudio only has composer credit on three tracks.

 

I assume that's what the poster means. The liner credits a few songs as written "with Claudio Rivera"

 

Is Particle Physics their straight up catchiest song since Everything Is Alright? Could be!

Yeah this rules. Really digging Things Like This at the moment. Few bands can write bridges you want to sing along with at the top of your lungs like Justin and co.

 

I really appreciate how subtle the features are on this.

 

At least my favorite song of theirs since MDL. Although, when True Romance came out, I played the SHIT out of that song in spring of 2012. So my favorite MCS song since then.
