I know what you mean. Have Mercy & Let It Happen opened Detroit and both were okay, but the show kind of dragged for that reason. AGBPOL & Rozwell Kid opened Grand Rapids last weekend and the show was a lot more engaging.
New Jersey always has the best crowds of any shows I go to. I have never seen them better or their crowd more stoked and full of emotion. The closest was the Brand New set there for the discography show. I'm so grateful to have been there for it. I was not expecting the reality of them leaving to hit me quite so hard. I started to lose it during the acoustic set and then again during AGBPOL (who were just so incredible). Then it got bad during Time Turned Fragile and I basically bawled hysterically for all of LG Fuad. I've never had a breakup hit me this hard before. I didn't get called on for the Q&A but I hope I do today. I have more to day today anyway.
The Nashville show was incredible. I missed Rozwell Kid unfortunately, but A Great Big Pile of Leaves were fantastic. I couldn't have been happier with Motion City's set. Make Out Kids into Time Turned Fragile into LGFUAD was beautiful. I think the only song that was different from the rest of the tour so far was The Red Dress, which someone requested.
Finally going tonight. I think I have found a pattern with the songs they play and I feel like A-OK will be in the set today. Red Dress was definitely my thought but I am okay with missing that.
We got the Modern Chemistry/Broken Heart/Disappear combo in Charlotte. Not what I would have preferred but it is what it is. I waited with about 15 other people to get my tour poster signed, but it took nearly 2 hours for all 5 members to come over. That being said every member of the band was genuinely happy to see people waiting to meet them and they were very gracious. Really sad to see them go, but it was nice to finally see them have a proper headlining show. It took so long for me to see the band for the first time after getting into them so it meant a lot to me to get the opportunity to be part of their final tour.
I talked to a couple of guys from MCS in Orlando and they said that their actual final show is a Riot Fest after show for 550 people
Yeah when waiting outside at Charlotte they said there was a secret show in a small venue but they would not reveal the location. My guess is in the state of Minnesota but maybe not Minneapolis.
It's gonna be a stressful week. Now I kinda hope there's a brand new after show that goes on sale at the same time to distract people
I guess it was just me wishful thinking cause BL is a lot closer to where I live haha. But I can't miss this, regardless of where it is. If I don't get tickets with general on sale, I'll pay an insane amount on stubhub.
I saw them this Friday. They played Better Open The Door, LGFUAD, Attractive Today, and Time Turned Fragile and that was enough for me to call it a satisfying set; the rest was icing on the cake. I teared up a little during Time Turned Fragile. I'm grateful this band was around.
crying during hold me down even though I knew I was seeing them again the next day is a memory of mine that i'll never forget
I wish it was Friday instead so it didn't conflict with anything and was still before the listed show. But I can't complain.
