You come off as your artist and what you like are somehow superior to mine. just looked at venues webpages and not many have canceled shows. I know falling in reverse is about to start a big tour. Then also set it off/stand Atlantic. But I was actually just going off venues schedule which is artist of all genres and most are still going forward I don’t know what you listen to just because mcs, circa and Thursday on this site changed their mind Masquerade- 5 events canceled/postponed - 24 events still happening in January looked at the masquerade in Atlanta, house of Blues in Orlando, the tabernacle in Atlanta, house of in blues Boston. Most all shows are still planned except basically the 3 this site covered
That’s is just an opinion because you don’t like FIR and act like you get to say what’s considered good and bad. Also missing the point that most artist are not canceling anymore.
In the US alone over 835,000 people have died of covid and a band postponing shows to not contribute further to that during this time is somehow a bad thing?
not really arguing it’s a bad thing just that it’s here to stay and we’re going to have to cope with it and not keep shutting down all the time. Plus if your worried no one said people had to go, it’s your choice to go
Everything is so divisive these days. COVID sucks. MUSIC rules. I think all of us on this site can at least agree on that. One love.
Disagree. Had covid last week and it was a joke. I’ve had worse hangovers. Literally everyone else I know who has also gotten it has said the same thing. If I hadn’t gotten it I probably would’ve kept carrying on in fear but actually getting made me realize how not serious it was.
You know what's not my choice? Having a bunch of people clogging up our healthcare infrastructure because of something that can be easily avoided.
Guy I’m not here to argue that Covid isn’t serious and terrible because it is. With that being said it’s here to stay and we’re going to have to start to live with it here permanently
The way I know that the internet is not used for good/education by most is that it's the year 2022 and people still think anecdotal evidence is somehow representative. The virus is killing almost 1% of people it infects. That sounds small but it's a lot It's sending anywhere from 5-20% of the people it infects to the hospital. Considering how contagious it is, that's way too many people to pour into hospital systems. It overruns them and ends up killing people with other ailments due to lack of response time And it's leaving anywhere from 5-50% of people it infects, even mildly, with medium and long term symptoms. We still have no idea how many people this virus will cripple long term, how much it's going to impact life expectancy, etc. You can't add millions of chronically ill to a population and not expect that to impact all facets of society, whether that's life disruptions or "just" increases to the cost of health care/insurance
You're right, and "living with it" may mean to delay a few tours because there's a temporary resurgence and it's the safest route to take. So far, all of the suggestions I've heard from the "we'll have to learn to live with it" crowd is pretty much to act as if it didn't exist.
Yeah, my roommate had it at one point and only got very mild symptoms. Meanwhile another friend had it and has been laid up since Christmas. Turns out it hits everyone different and I still don't want to catch it. You got lucky. Fuck off with this.
