FUCK YES WYWALDYIT was one of my favourite debuts of 2016 and helped me get through some seriously rough mental health times. Can't wait for this.
Kinda surprised and not to see so little discussion about this. I’ve listened to this album five or six times now, and I still don’t think I’ve really wrapped my head around it. It feels so dense to me—musically and lyrically. I definitely appreciate the challenge, but I do kinda wish there were some songs as immediately as powerful as some of those on the debut.
Spin described the songs on here as "fuzzy, warm, and melodic," which is hilarious to me; those are words I would never use to describe this album.
On my second listen of this and it's really hard to latch on to and feels very "droning". I will give it a couple more listens though.
Got my copy today, and after one listen I’ll have to echo everyones sentiments. This definitely is not what I was expecting after the debut, which had me completely hooked on first listen.
