If anyone sees a concrete release date for the first part, I’ll update the title. Everywhere is just reporting “February.”
“Virile” didn’t do too much for me on the first few listens. It’s clicked though. “Polly” on the other hand was a first listen stunner. One of his best songs. This record is for sure gonna be special.
Anyone seen a concrete release date for the first part yet? Still just seeing "February" everywhere. This is the first of the released tracks that's on disc 2.
Apparently Adult Jazz worked on “Cut Me”?? That’s a dream pairing. Their album Gist Is is incredible.
Haven't watched this but apparently its very good. I'm really into the release structure for this record. I'm sure the record would be great no matter what, but having the first disc for a few months before the second and getting to experience them properly as two parts of a double album is very exciting. I feel like it will be easier to dive into the record as opposed to if it was just dropped as a 20 track, hour-plus record.
Part 1 is sooo good. Always liked his stuff but he really seems to have pushed his sound here. You can just hear the ambition.
So good. I like the rollout (I think) but I’m curious to see how media outlets are going to handle reviews of this. it definitely gives the listener a chance to digest both parts. Almost like episodic tv vs a dump of twenty tracks that most people would never take the time to listen to all the way through. It’s pretty savvy
Record is out in a few days so I'll probably just wait at this point. Weird that this is the first thing we've gotten since Part 1 dropped.
this is hitting a lot better than when I listened to Part 1 alone, I don't know why but everything is just grabbing me
