I would guess that them putting it in a prime summer spot means that they have a lot of faith in it.

 

That being said.. taking it from the week before Halloween and putting it a week before the first Star Wars movie in 6.5 years is certainly a choice.

 

to be clear, this is not because the film isn't finished?

 

Reports are saying it’s delayed solely for a greater box office return in the summer.

Linden Ashby as Johnny Cage is all time sicko casting. Just behind Raul Julia as M. Bison

 

I have mad respect for the fact that Ashby tried so long to make a Mortal Kombat 3 happen all by himself.

Annihilation had a lot wrong with it and it all began with killing Cage.

 

I also had no idea (I don’t think they released a character poster at least) that Damon Herriman was cast as Quan Chi for the sequel.
