It’s definitely him being teased spying on Sonya and co. As for the heart rip creature I’m still not sure on. Maybe we just get to see some crazy Outworld monsters.

 

I’m not saying Kano ripped Reptiles heart out (yes I am that’s definitely reptile) but it’s still interesting that they roughly went with THIS version of the character.



I’m a big fan of MK4 Reptile tbh.

 

Since we see a painting of him, I wonder if they’ll tap into Kung Lao (Great Kung Lao) being beaten by Goro way back.

Goro is probably the only thing I’m not sold on visually (that and Mileena’s lack of uh teeth) but that’s also because this will always be MY Prince.

 

I would actually love to see that animatronic in person. Apparently it took a shit ton of crew to control and constantly had issues. Me and my old roommate used to scream at each other “HOW LUCKY FOR THEM, BACK HOME!” and “I. DO NOT. FAAAIIILLL!”

 

Over/Under on Goro NOT dying in this movie?

Shang Tsung certainly won’t die.
It’s been announced that Sub-Zero is the big bad in this one.

Oh yeah Goro is for sure dead. He’s the Outworld champ, he must be defeated in order for Earthrealm to win. (if they’re going canon)


And since @Henry posted him and made me think of it, they could totally have Shang Tsung lose his captured souls/youth and become Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa old Shang Tsung. But that’s some real fan fiction fantasy for me.

 

All of the stuff I've read regarding the script or test showings say there really isn't much of a tournament at all.

He turns into a wolf when using his “Animality.” Introduced in MK3 for fighters, and the terrible source of all the bad CGI in the second film.

 

Yes. Dialogue is pretty bad/for kids. But the Conquest show is worse lol.

Shou and Brian Thompson turning into that shit at the end of Annihilation is still the worst stuff I’ve ever had to see.

 

Shinnok in MK:A is fucking dreadful too.
