you’re not wrong, (I’m not really sure about having him and Shao Khan at the same time) but I’ll take real characters from the lore over made up ones with shallow stories. Martyn Ford as Khan is so good too.
Martyn Ford was at a supplement/bodybuilding convention I was at before COVID and he’s legitimately the largest dude I’ve ever seen. Height/Mass wise. He’s a legit 6ft8+ I’m not super familiar with his acting skills but he certainly looks the part. He’s got some gnarly head tattoos too that they might be able to incorporate with the mask and add a twist to how Shao Khan looks visually
Never had any big parts for the movies he’s done (definitely seems to get the parts he does for his appearance) but I could also see a voice actor doing the script work for him. Visually, I don’t know that there’s a better option. Hope I’m not crazy remembering Shao Khan rumors were flying with a video of another massive guy swinging a prop hammer? Maybe like 6-8 months before the 2021 film? Can’t remember who that was or if it was Martyn then too.
I think I remember that. There were two videos iirc. One ended up being the dude that played Reiko and another one testing for Shao Khan. And I think they auditioned vice versa too. I 100% remember rumors that Reikos actor was gonna play Khan. There’s supposedly a video somewhere that leaked recently of someone auditioning for Shao Khan but they ended up going with Ford.
I just know the homie from the first movie is getting rocked in the opening. No way his generic ass makes it to the middle of the film with such a stacked roster
Could end up being BS but he apparently had the most scenes filmed. Doesn’t bode well for us doomers if true
