Fuck it, just bought my ticket for Friday at an AMC signature screening. Reserved spaced seating and only 6 others purchased so far. I’m so ready to be back at a theater for the first time since December 2019.

Flawless Victory is the one thing Anderson got wrong in the 96’ film. Both times it was stated in the film it was not flawless. In fact, Shang Tsung wins round 2 with Liu by a landslide. I hope they have an actual flawless victory in this one.
Full on victory. But also Rotten Tomatoes is only a good reference when you’re debating what to watch with your significant other and the percentage is in your favor lol.
Cannot wait for this The ‘95 version is utter garbage, if anyone’s interested it’s also this week’s film on my podcast but be warned...we don’t hold anything back Mortal Kombat (1995) by The Film Effect Podcast • A podcast on Anchor
Childhood me didn't even realize the white washing of Rayden at the time, and I still never realized he was supposed to be asian until recently lol. But I also literally paid zero attention to MK after age like 15 so it was one of those things I never really thought about until this movie got announced. Lambert was pretty funny in the role though. When he punched that one henchman while cheering on Johnny Cage, I laugh every time.
I think Lambert might be my least favorite part of the movie. I like the Goro vs Cage punch too, but the rest of the movie he’s just Charlize Theron in Fast & Furious.
