How likely is it we'll see Liu King's death, resurrection, undead army stuff, etc in the films series if there's a trilogy mapped out? Though given the popularity of the trailer there might be more than that on the table.

 

Scorpion is technically dead and resurrected. So he can die and be resurrected again. Has been in the games.

I think they might be giving Sub-Zero the same treatment since they both appear as human clan members first in the film.

 

Watching that recent animated film, Scorpion's Revenge and it's already gory as fuck in the first couple minutes lol

 

That movie is awesome if you like MK.

Really enjoyed it. Not sure if I’ve seen Rebirth. Refresh my mind on what that is

 

Rebirth is just a 10 minute short that K Tanch did in order to try and market to studios for an MK movie. He didn’t get the green light for a film but he was able to make Legacy, which is ok but not great (particularly season 2 which is quite bad.)

Still think it’s well made though and would’ve been a cool take.

 

Watched Annihilation this week and my god what a huge horrible piece of shit

The first is a guilty pleasure for me because it's fun bad and a pretty faithful adaptation of the game. Annihilation is just ... a random grab bag of characters with no personalities, terrible acting, virtually no plot, and some of the worst CGI I've ever seen.

 

It’s definitely the worst CGI of all time. The ending fight scene is fucking atrocious

 

I was astonished by how bad the animality fight was. There was good CGI at this point, too!

 

MK 95 is so visually on point and well casted for Mortal Kombat that I have trouble deciphering the movie in my mind from NRS canon/storylines. Most of it lines up anyways, but still.

 

I hate to say it but like Liu Kang and Shang Tsung are bound to be slightly underwhelming for me because Robin and Cary were too good.

Watched the original movie last night. Plenty of cheese but still entertaining. Then I put on annhilation. Jesus Christ how did it get made
