Being the one who created this thread, I was obviously a huge fan of this band. So this news is completely disheartening. This shit is so common it makes me frustrated that it's this difficult to find any bands with some amount of human decency to them. My heart goes out to the victim(s). So sorry that women can't just enjoy the music of the scene these days without having to be on the lookout for shit like this.
I was about to buy a Moose Blood shirt about a month ago and ended up getting a B&C shirt instead. Glad I made that choice. This is all pretty horrible
Are you really going to tell me that the scene DOESN'T consist of 90% white dudes? The pop-punk community is predominantly made up of males with white skin, I don't know what else I can tell you.
I feel super weird and conflicted. I'm supposed to be taking photos of them tonight at their show in Denver. The allegations against the singer are very disturbing as well
I stumbled across their instagram and it looks like the drummer is playing with them again based on the comments, or am I mistaken?
Tried to do some digging but all I could find was two people saying the photo looked like him from a distance. I imagine if people see him playing live, we would have heard about by now? Besides, they can't be THAT stupid surely?
Honestly, the band might be that stupid (considering how easy it is to not sexually harass people), but after Neck Deep, I'm willing to bet Hopeless wouldn't let something like that slide. Sure the label is kind of indirectly responsible at this point seeing as how this is the second problematic U.K. Pop-punk band on their roster that used a fall guy to cover up other problematic behavior, but the people that run hopeless are capable and intelligent so I doubt they'd let them do something that stupid after making a public announcement. Also looking through Instagram hashtags, it seems like their drummer is currently someone with short hair, so unless they made the dude cut his hair to finish the tour I think they have someone else.
Probably the third biggest modern pop-punk band, behind TSSF and TWY. Ngl, I really enjoy that last record.
