Yeah, this is not nearly as good as anything off the first LP. This is a really mediocre song. For people saying there is a difference in production, you guys need to listen to the first record again. Beau Burchell did both records and they sound mixed and mastered almost exactly the same (based off Honey). I was hoping for a "wow" track, but this is just okay. I loved that first record but I am expecting a lot more out of this record than just okay pop rock songs. I will say the video had a nice aesthetic if a little unclear sometimes. I'm still pulling for this band and record but if this was the first MB song I had ever heard I wouldn't be as excited.
The pink filter they've put on all their pictures right now is very irritating whenever I see them. Like he vinyl color though.
Yeah, they seem relatively pretty small over here still. In this community they're obviously well respected, but I think part of the reason for a long release cycle is that there's a lot of introducing and building up the band to the Hopeless audience that needs to take place.
That would have been awesome. Why did they end up not doing it. Remember they were rumored but never saw anything official.
This is the catchiest song they have ever written, hands down. I absolutely cannot stop listening to it. This record is one of my most anticipated this year for sure, especially after how much I'll Keep You in Mind... has come to mean to me
Song would have benefited had they done some kind of something between the chorus and the verse. It's just very simplistic. I do really like the chorus though.
I actually like the album art. I don't love the type choice but the photo definitely evokes a feeling. The last album art had that strong connection with the music and I think this one will as well. Gotta wait and see though!
song isn't bad so I might check this out. Didn't enjoy their first album and thought they were bad live.
