    Looks fun, as usual

"In Moonfall, a mysterious force knocks the Moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it. With mere weeks before impact and the world on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler (Academy Award® winner Halle Berry) is convinced she has the key to saving us all – but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper (Patrick Wilson, “Midway”) and a conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman (John Bradley, “Game of Thrones”) believes her. These unlikely heroes will mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space, leaving behind everyone they love, only to find out that our Moon is not what we think it is."

There's something oddly comforting about Roland Emmerich still making his disaster movies in 2021.

If you told me they got that synopsis by showing an AI every Roland Emmerich film so far and asking it to generate a new one, I would believe you

Well, this was expectedly dumb. Rolland’s jab about Marvel and such being unoriginal while he pushes out this turd is just hilarious.

Like others have said, a proper AI-designed disaster film. Best to watch when drunk or high

Watched this on a plane this weekend and it is abysmal. Not even bad-good, just bad. Should have taken a nap instead.

Everybody has their opinion(see Debbie Downer above), and I thought this was pretty awesome. Just watched it on HBO Max. It was so absurd and went even absur...er toward the end. Super fun. CGI was wild. Independence Day, meets 2012, meets Contact……. Or something like that. Had a fun 2 hours with it sitting on my couch, eating snacks, recovering from a big race I did yesterday.

Omg this was one of the worst things I’ve ever seen but it gets so batshit insane by the end that I couldn’t help laughing. Emmerich isn’t even trying anymore lol. Honestly great high movie though.

I saw bits and pieces of this on HBO the other day. I just like that Samwell Tarly was getting work with A-list actors. Hope he gets more parts! lol

No one could have prepared me for how bad this was. We know Emmerich is involved and we see the plot, so its not like I'm expecting a cinematic masterpiece.... I thought I was mentally ready for this!!

Alas. Comically, impossibly bad. Not sure if entertainingly bad but maybe I'll watch it again when I'm stoned and have a different opinion.

As someone who watched it stoned, it was pretty fun. If only for how bonkers the last 30 minutes are. After it ended I sat in my couch laughing for god knows how long at the premise alone. And the fact that it ends in a way that suggests they thought a sequel was a probability.

I'm more interested in a movie based on the exposition dump at the end than ever seeing this again
