wow my timing was perfect because i was just looking around to see whats been up with them lately and not only did they just do a little run of shows but they told the crowd theyve been writing new music together damn just wrapped up the second album and theyre both amazing. super excited for the red tree. debut might have the leg up for me but the last song i will ever want to sing is prob my highlight track so far. the band chemistry is unreal and help all the expansive passages develop so gorgeously
yeah red tree is an absolute scene cult classic. would kill to hear that record for the first time again. enjoy!
The making of The Red Tree stuff on their DVD is amazing too. Just need them to play Chicago sometime soon.
The Red Tree is one of the best albums. As good as some of their others are that one just remains untouchable.
Red Tree is their collective masterpiece, but personally I’d take Are We Really Happy - just a special album for me
20th anniversary of The Red Tree is tomorrow, so it's got to be something to do with that. Would love to see them play that album (or see them at all).
such an amazing album and band. this is all bigger than me is one of the best songs ive ever heard by anybody
genuinely blows me away how good their first three albums are. one of the best runs of music ive ever heard anywhere that deserves a home in every music fans library
i really am so hooked right now on them lol, the last four songs on harmonial value have a hold on me. honestly cant even pick a fav record of theirs, i love the direction both before and after the red tree, thsy just nailed everything they did. even the fourth album is growing on me
Hoping this sells well enough to justify some festival appearances in the states, or a handful of shows in major markets
Man this band put on a hell of a show back in the day. Remember them opening one of the first Straylight Run shows at the Knitting Factory. Went two nights in a row. Openers were Kevin Devine, Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer, Moneen, and Armor for Sleep. Thanks for coming to my old man TED Talk.
