I remember loving the Red Tree but being meh on everything after. Worth giving the album after Red Tree a listen?
Even if The Red Tree is their best record, they got some great songs on other records. I miss moneen and I wish Kenny had continued to release music as Br/dges. Such a nice guy.
So weird that I decided to throw "Are We Really Happy..." on today after seeing Dine Alone had 20 copies of it on vinyl up for sale and now this thread is bumped. I really wish this band had caught on enough to allow them to continue making music, Red Tree is their best album but I think they were far from ever having a bad/sub-par release.
Yes, definitely. It doesn't hit the highs of The Red Tree, but it's still very good. I've actually been listening to it fairly often recently. The first 4 tracks are great.
Ayyyy we've got a Moneen headliner in Brooklyn the day before the Vagrant festival! Moneen is one of the last bands on my "never saw them" bucket list, excited to fly out and cross them off. https://dice.fm/partner/23-meadow-l...-moneen-10th-jun-gold-sounds-new-york-tickets
I’ve had the good fortune of seeing them live a handful of times, and whether it was opening, headlining or playing an extended anniversary show they were awesome every time. I’d say best live band I’ve ever seen in terms of energy. Enjoy.
Thanks! I caught maybe 2 songs of their set at Warped Tour either right before/after Red Tree came out, but I never saw them play in a club or a proper headlining set. I can't wait!
It's a crime that I am the last post in this thread from almost a year ago today, smh. But Moneen is teasing something for 5/31, potentially 20 year anniversary shows for Are We Really Happy?
