I really want Theory of Harmonial Value but I just can't shell out $35 plus shipping for a record. Super cool packaging and extras though.
I didn't get a box set, but my regular pressing of The Red Tree came today and I'm very very happy to have it in my collection. I've never really taken the time to try to get deep into Moneen's discography, but The Red Tree is almost certainly in my top ten records of all time.
Saw they updated their Facebook pictures last night, so I hope that means more shows/music are coming.
They've done that before but nothing came of it so it might not mean anything. Seas (Hippy lead singer with other members of moneen other than Kenny) also just updated their profile and cover photo on fb.
Seas has been recording an album for what seems to be years now so hopefully that means its done finally?
Members of moneen have had another band called seas for years now, new LP out on Dine Alone in November.
Finally played the new track, it's great. Been looking forward to this for awhile now. I recommend their previous LP for anyone who hasn't heard it. There's some good stuff on it. Worth a listen.
Yes me too. I thought we would by now tbh. I own the only release on wax. Hopefully we will get more eventually. I know Kenny keeps himself pretty busy tho. Tours a lot.
The 3 nights of AWRHWWWARN 15 anniversary shows begin tonight! Will be interesting to see who the surprise openers (aside from Choke) are each night, today's news is The Almighty Trigger Happy for night #1.
I went to the Red Tree shows a couple years ago thanks to Kenny. They were amazing live (it’s was the 4th time I had seen them play). You’d never know they were no longer a full time band. They played a long set and it was flawless. I wish I was around to see these shows for Are We Really Happy.
