No just the 2 songs so far. Bought the 7'' awhile ago. Cool variant. Can't wait for a full length as well.
Here is another Moneen article (older) I had it bookmarked so figured I would share it here: Moneen Explore the Intricate Balance Between Harmonic Challenges and Humorous Inclinations In the Modern Age
If anyone is going to any of the Red Tree shows in the next 4 days and wouldn't mind picking me up a box set, I will make it well worth your while. Thanks.
My buddy emailed them asking about it and its one per person, 100% will sell out the first night, unless you go to the show yourself, expect eBay prices :(
These guys have different lives and different projects and responsibilities then they did when their bands started. I think we are lucky they still tour and have other projects. I think we'd all love new music, but I think expecting an album cycle just isn't in th cards. I must say respect the fact they just don't replace memebers and bring in new guy after new guy. It's cool to see Alexisonfire brought up doing the same thing as moneen because both bands are close.
Growing up in Toronto, I've been listening to Moneen from the start. They sort of pulled a Fugazi and never really announced they weren't playing music together anymore. I occasionally run into Kenny and saw Chris "the Hippy" Hughes at one of the Brand New concerts in Toronto this past summer. Great band. Glad to see they're playing shows, albeit even if one-offs.
The Day No One Needed To Know is such a banger. Immensely jelly of anyone seeing them with AOF tonight
Matt opened as well. Every nuance was there during the moneen set with same energy or maybe more than people are used to seeing. They played The Red Tree front to back and played a bunch of older songs after that plus the cover with Matt. They closed the show with an crowd extended version of The Passing of America and The Last Song I Ever Want To Sing.
Theory of Harmonial Value and the standard repress of The Red Tree are available via Dine Alone. Dine Alone Records | Online Store I managed to get a copy of the box set before it sold out.
