That Monster Island name drop. Give. Me. More. Miura’s concern over the desire of the US to possibly make a bigger bomb sounds just like Oppenheimer. Love it. My favorite episode thus far.
The new episode was definitely a well-needed bounce back for this show. Monster island finally canon in the monsterverse is neat as well.
oh i know there’s multitude of reasons why they film someplace other than the actual setting, i just though that quote was quite amusing.
Finally watched last week’s episode. Total snoozefest. The human characters in the 1950s are way more interesting than the characters in 2015.
This show had so much potential at first but they're losing me hard the more they focus on the younger modern day characters and less on Kurt/Wyatt Russell. Like why do we have a love triangle in the godzilla show ffs?
The last episode ended with Cate being sorta flirty/touchy with May, so it looks like that will happen. Kentaro gave a side look of approval if that helps lol
I'm hate watching at this point tbh. Don't like any of the characters, don't like the 2 extremely weird love triangles and don't like the way they're trying to make the monarch org seem good, bad, tough and feeble all at once. Godzilla sleeping the middle of the Saharan desert is also dumb but I'll give that a pass. Also feel like if they wanted to get into May's past at her job, they could have done a better job at getting across what she'd done. Why would she delete research instead of exposing it or whatever, did they ever actually mention what she was supposed to be doing for the company besides be a genius. I dunno.
I do like how it's giving us a peak into the beginnings of Apex. The show should focus on the 1950s characters. While there is also a weird love triangle in it, the characters themselves are more interesting. The time period also offers something different. Just show us more of the new "Monster Island" and have the 1950s group encounter new creatures there.
watched ep 8 thinking it was the season finale, glad it isn't cuz this one definitely pulled me back in a bit, better than the last few for sure
Latest episode was good. Definitely a nice bounce back from the episode before it. Was glad to see the computer wiz/hacker/traitor/annoying girl with 2 names fall into the pit but since Kate and Kurt Russell fell in I'm assuming she'll survive along with them.
The timing of the fall was pretty poor, like she falls in a nano second before a monster comes out, only thing missing would be the monster licking its lips to make it even more ambiguous
