I’m surprised there’s no thread for this. It’s a series connected to the Legendary Godzilla universe. The first two episodes are up now. what do you think so far?
First episode was fantastic. A true spiritual successor to Godzilla ‘14. It helps that the main character, Cate, immediately follows the San Francisco disaster. It’s the direction I was wanting the MonsterVerse to go after ‘14, so I’m glad we’re getting that. Solid performances as well. I look forward to watching episode 2 later this weekend.
Also, it’s worth noting that Russell’s character is taken straight from the Godzilla: Aftermath comic, so that’s neat.
Didn't love the writing so far, a bit corny for me, but will keep at it. Not sure what the whole point of the story is yet either re: Monarch itself, especially after the events in G14
Enjoying this for sure. I agree with a lot of the sentiment that it's nice to see some good character storylines along side all of the "monster" stuff.
Just watched the first 3. This rules. Really looking forward to more. Have they said whether or not this show is retconning the millie bobby brown godzilla and GvsK? Or is this just taking place between the events of all of them?
It takes place before both of them. KOTM is in 2019. This retcons the Awakening prequel comic, however.
also, theyre totally setting Tim up to be Shaw's son, right? thats what that little scene was implying, when she was like "crazy knows crazy"?
I like how they're like 2 miles from the nuke blast, yet suffer no effects/feel nothing whatsoever, hahahahaha
