Yeah I don’t know what to make of any of this. I’m not gonna be the person to question them if they feel like they were being creeped on, but the age commentary is very weird to me. It’s not a playground, it’s a concert lol
I think there is pretty obviously an intangible here. He creeped them out, something was off. I feel like 99.9% of the people who would want to stand quietly while they watched the show would also not want to be in the very front row.
I’m not disagreeing but just offering a different perspective: sometimes I end up at a show that my friend invited me to where they want to be barricade or close to the front and I don’t know any of the lyrics or really know the artist that well, so I just end up standing there watching without much emotion. Something could have creeped them out though and it’s fair to call that out and I don’t want to invalidate that.
just not sure what else needs to be said about a dumb throwaway instagram story they posted after having an off-night. doesn’t feel like something worth being upset about.
Not sure if anyone is that upset, I just thought it was kind of dumb lol this is now prolonging the conversation that, I agree with you, isn't that deep
As the weather gets increasingly hotter, I'm falling deeper for this record. Are there any other albums / bands that have a similar mix of shoegaze and '00s pop rock?
Yeah, but it didn't hit on first listen like Momma did. Guess I'm looking for something hazier / dreamier and poppier with only female vocals and walls of guitars. Slow Pulp's last effort is one of my most listened records of the past few years. Bully's Lucky for You stratch that itch too. Soccer Mommy's Color Theory is another good one but I don't go back to it that much.
I don’t hear any shoegaze in Momma tbh but the newest Wishy EP is a little more experimental than the LP when in doubt I feel like any given artist’s last fm page will have good recommendations for similar artists
The last few Torres albums (What An Enormous Room, Thirstier, Silver Tongue), Blondshell, especially her debut album and Horsegirl.
Wouldn't really consider Hum to incorporate '00s pop-rock lol. Incredible music, one of my favorite bands, but not sure they fit that bill
