Upset with myself for sleeping on getting tickets to their Boston date, been sold out for a while now
I appreciate that, at least at my show, the strength of their friendship is very apparent on stage. Wouldn’t necessarily say they have like incredible stage presence or anything so it works to their benefit that they are not shy about exchanging looks/laughing, obvious inside jokey type of stuff. Like they’re just stoked to be playing together. It’s a nice tone to set
I agree with that, the kind of casual/down to earth approach works for them. I also thought their stage presence improved as the show went on.
Great show last night but couldn’t tell if there was some sort of disagreement happening onstage with the band
There was a moment with the bassist but then it seemed like something was occurring slightly offstage
some posts about it here https://www.reddit.com/r/philadelphiamusic/s/3jncq12akP https://www.reddit.com/r/Music/s/i9qSt6mBnC
I saw their Instagram story and was confused. Obviously if someone is being a creep in the crowd they should be called out but it sounds like just based on what they said it was just a solo guy 40+ who just was low energy looking at them the entire show? (they are the performers after all). Obviously I could be wrong and it could be something more (and I in no way want to invalidate them if it is something more/the guy was being a creep) but it felt odd to post that in the way they did because it’s just going to open up people asking more questions.
Being creepy is one thing, but it seems off-putting to me to essentially ask men over a certain age to not watch your very 90s-influenced set lol
If you aren’t a 40+ y/o man standing front and center, silently leering at them like a dumbass, they’re probably not talking about you
I'm usually listening and watching the musicianship rather closely. I'm not that guy who sings a lot or points his finger at the performers like some people do. I don't think it's fair to paint certain people with such a broad brush, unless there is something inarguably creepy happening. We all consume experiences differently.
"silently leering at them like a dumbass" is a wild way to say "watching the show quietly" lol I just don't understand what the problem is, again, unless something obviously creepy is happening
