im not just interested in songs. I like a story. I enjoy knowing where a band is from, what do they listen to, who they are. Anyone can write a song, and this band has some good songs. I just want to know more about the background. I do this with any band I listen too.
I really don't mean this as a dunk, but the wikipedia page literally has sections on this background and sound: Momma (band) - Wikipedia I don't know what else you are looking for other than one of the vocalists dating Lindsay from Snail Mail
its easy to google bands, find interviews, articles, social media, etc. i kind of get it, i used to really like learning all about band members, but more and more i actually tend to prefer not knowing quite as much.
Hopefully getting around to this today. Yesterday felt like an unexpectedly stacked release day; I was looking forward to BCNR but had no idea that Momma and Florist both had albums dropping yesterday, to say nothing of the surprise Jane Remover and Record Setter drops.
Part of Me was in my top 10 in 2020 but it made very little waves even as their second album! I don’t think it’s a totally unreasonable question but plant is certainly not the case here
My wife and I don’t get too many days all to ourselves, so whenever we do spend a day off just the two of us it feels extra special. Yesterday, which was one of those days, was a beautiful spring day and we went to the city, and while driving around we listened to this album on a loop. It was a perfect soundtrack. Made the day even brighter.
can’t stop listening to this. first time listening to them but man i adore this album. filled to the brim with hooks
Caught the tour tonight, was a pretty solid show! Set was mostly stuff from the new album, to be expected. They threw Bang Bang in there which I didn’t see coming. Crowd kept egging them on to play the Narrow Head cover which was a little annoying. Last Kiss was a big set highlight
They were so great last night. First time seeing them and I was not let down. Show was really well paced. Etta and Allegra are both so captivating
