Listened twice today and this is really good

This has been extremely up my alley so far. Reminds me melodically of Threads era Now, Now in places. On Not A Runner now, loving this really warm production

Take that lightly! This definitely doesn’t have the huge roomy production Threads has or any of the slowly crescendoing tracks, but I think the vocalist has a tendency to write melodies that remind me of that record. Some of the crunchy guitar tones are reminiscent of it to me too. But overall more upbeat for sure and takes more indie pop cues

 

Almost posted the exact same thing haha, love the delivery of that line

Just checked this out and it's really good.

I think the people who enjoy this would really also enjoy the Ohmme record that came out Friday too.

This album is great! Thanks for the tag! Will be adding this to my rotation of albums I go back to numerous times this year. I also second the Ohmme record. Similar vibes to this album.

 

Okay I listened again last night and am watching a livestream they are doing now and I'm reallty all aboard this band and record.

 

New song, looks like they signed to Polyvinyl

 

Didn’t realize there was a thread for this band, new song is straight up incredible.

 

One of the members has a bandcamp page and some of the songs are demos that went on to be Momma songs (ex-Not A Runner on "Basement")
