Wasn’t there some accountability-related stuff with this band recently?

So what happened (from what I know) is that in high school Bart bullied a fellow classmate to the point she attempted suicide. It’s fucked up and there was a ton of debate about whether he should be “cancelled” or not (by people thinking he needs to be held accountable for that vs people thinking it’s not a big deal). He apologized for it in a post, said he has grown up and isn’t like that anymore and took some time away from the band (not saying that to defend him, just recounting his statement) He handled the situation poorly at first and the rest of the band had to come out and say how he handled it was wrong. The statement and apology are both gone from social media so my guess is maybe that was per the accusers wish?

Edit: There is more that he did per the above reply that I was unaware of when making this thread.

 

Yeah, most seem to be removed from Twitter and other spaces at this point.

I do not understand why this is coming out in February when they are going on a tour in November lol

 

Vinyl delays - they want to have all their stuff ready to go. Releasing it upfront of tour was an option but they didn't take it.

 

Surprisingly really like this single. Extremely dumb rollout though

 

That makes sense but then why not just release it digitally before the tour? Seems like a bad strategy to not have a new album out on your first tour back after not having released anything in 3 years.

 

Damn I really like both of these songs, as someone who barely liked them before

 

Both of these songs are a blast. I honestly forgot this album was announced already until recently, but now I can't stop listening to them. Circus Clown won't leave my head
