Moon and Antarctica Good News We Were Dead This is a Long Drive Lonesome Crowded West Strangers to Ourselves Golden Casket not a stinker in the bunch. "Dashboard" is the better mainstream MM single and I'm glad it's the one they've decided to rehash like three times lol
Listened to lone drive today while work. It’s a fun record but too long and just not what I’m going to put on when I’m in the mood for MM. Moon Lonesome Good News We were dead Strangers Long drive Golden Casket
Today, it's: The Lonesome Crowded West Strangers To Ourselves Good News For People Who Love Bad News The Moon & Antarctica We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank This Is A Long Drive For Someone With Nothing To Think About The Golden Casket Sad Sappy Sucker
good news lonesome we were dead moon strangers long drive everything else but golden casket golden casket (only because i’ve still never finished it)
My ranking would basically be in chronological order. Every album is good to great to perfect, but I think I like each subsequent release slightly less than the previous one.
The objective definitive ranking: Tier 1: Lonesome and Moon. Generational albums that will still be considered classics 100 years from now. Tier 2: Long Drive and Building Nothing. The highs are as good as Tier 1, just not as consistent. Tier 3: Good News, We Were Dead, No One's First EP. Still very good, would be most bands' best album. Tier 4: Strangers, Casket. More misses than hits, but occasionally great. Then the odds and ends that nobody pays attention to.
And yeah, Dashboard, Lampshades, The Ground Walks, and We Are Between all kind of have the same vibe lmao but it's a great vibe
