Not crazy about the song, but sounds like it could be a pretty big comeback single for them as far as a mainstream audience goes. Ripe for summer and remixes.

edit: Fuck it. Literally never do this but it's my favorite band, so I ordered one of each. I have no reason to believe I won't enjoy the record, and considering the signed LP is limited, I'd love to have something to hang up on the wall. Any day we get new Modest Mouse music is a great fucking day.

Love the single, it's like a dark, existential dance track. Sounds about on par with the last three records but reminds me of We Were Dead in particular. Really looking forward to this

new song is pretty good. feels like Modest Mouse. not quite my favorite from them, but it's better than the last single IMO.

 

I like it but not as much as "We Are Between." Have a feeling it will grow on me though.

 

I’ve only ever casually listened to this band but an artist I really like (Sir Chloe) is opening their Lollapalooza aftershow and I really want to see her without going to the fest so I might go to the show. I’m doing a full run through of their entire discography and wow a lot of it is better than I thought it was. I originally wrote them off as just the “Float On” band with a few other decent songs but I was way off haha. I’m only on the debut now but there are a bunch of legitimately great tracks on here.

 

pretty much exactly how it started for me..(got into them when they were playing w BN in 2014 or so)....once you listen and then listen with the lyrics and understand what they are about ...it’s not just great music but amazing lyricism

 

Love that they've been to Chattanooga a few times, too. I have a sweet poster from their stop here somewhere.
