Remember when they had their follow up album done and ready for release shortly after Strangers To Ourselves was released? I wonder what happened with that.

They're not legally allowed to release it yet.

 

I just spun The Lonesome Crowded West the other night. Seeing them for the second time this year in three weeks. Wouldn't be surprised if we got a new album soon.

 

I know that's what they alluded to in 2015, but at this point, that seems...unlikely. Holding out for some kind of update soon. And yeah, their Instagram always seems to be hinting at something, but alas.

 

I was kidding. I knew it was bullshit when they said it 3 years ago.

These were the first two shows of the tour...both cancelled about an hour before it was supposed to start. Very strange. I checked the FB event pages and heard everything from plane's being delayed (which if that was the case, why not just say it?) to the band doing a soundcheck before the show and just cancelling to Isaac just being MIA.

Hope all is OK.

I have tickets for Sept. 29, I'm guessing if they cancel again tonight, we can assume the entire tour will be cancelled? By this weekend for sure we should know. They did update their very own website marking last night cancelled but still selling tickets for the rest of the shows, so the whole thing seems strange.

 

This is all very worrisome. I hope things are okay.

Wow, I had no idea that The Black Keys were that big.

 

I'm going to go ahead and guess this means no new album in 2019 for MM if they're going on a tour as an opener in the fall.

Fuck.

 

remember that time before strangers to ourselves was released and they said they had enough for two albums and another would released within a year of strangers. Still never heard that Big Boi track either.
