"History Sticks To Your Feet" is an incredible b-side while we're on that topic and yeah... "Dance Hall" is bad
Can’t argue with that...I don’t think I could pick one but I think Doin the Cockroach, Ocean Breathes Salty, and Misses The Boat are at the top of my list
I’ve only ever casually listened to this band but an artist I really like (Sir Chloe) is opening their Lollapalooza aftershow and I really want to see her without going to the fest so I might go to the show. I’m doing a full run through of their entire discography and wow a lot of it is better than I thought it was. I originally wrote them off as just the “Float On” band with a few other decent songs but I was way off haha. I’m only on the debut now but there are a bunch of legitimately great tracks on here.
Isaac Brock Reviews Every Modest Mouse Album, Including The New 'The Golden Casket' (uproxx.com) Isaac is one strange dude. The children's album he mentions at the end needs to happen!
Listened to Lonesome Crowded West yesterday and yeah, way better than my perception of it was. Lots of great tracks on here! On to the rest today!
just a few more days—I wrote a little bit about it over here: Review: Modest Mouse’s The Golden Casket Is a Polished, Buoyant Pop-Rock Trip honestly this clicked for me right away and the more I listen to it the more I like it. it's very much a latter day Modest Mouse record, but it just might be the ideal version of that. can't wait for everyone to hear
I'd been wondering what the status was, with all of the promo photos lately just being Issac and Jeremiah.
